Easy I said, yes you heard me right! These 6 hacks will help you ease stress, anxiety and burnout. You will feel more in control of your everyday existence. You will learn how to calm your internal state, quieten the negative chatter, trust yourself more and feel more at peace in your own skin.

Are you ready to relieve anxiety, stress and burnout and try something positive and useful NOW?

1. Stop the outside noise with easy boundaries

Turn off notifications on your phone, put an out of office message on your email, set up an answerphone message stating the days and times you are available, be clear about how you expect to be contacted. For example, recommending contacting you by email as the fastest way to reach you will manage the expectations of those trying to contact you will ease the stress of burnout.

2. Reset your nervous system using just 10 minutes in nature

The benefits of talking a short stroll away from the “rat race” and into a more natural, organic setting has been proven to reduce stress and burnout within minutes. Get those walking boots on and walk off your stress or anxiety and notice how you gain more focus, clarity and sense of relaxation as you return to your natural state. .

3. Breath your way into peace

A simple hack to trick your nervous that takes less than one minute is to inhale filling your lungs and abdomen with air, holding your breath four seconds before exhaling as slowly and controlled as you possibly can. This activates the parasympathetic nervous which indicates to your brain that you are calm and safe enough to let go and relax. Your stress levels and burnout symptoms will naturally reduce.

4. Energy Angels

Make a habit of only allowing energy angels into your space. Energy Angels are the friends, colleagues and family members that bring you the feeling of safety, acceptance and love. These are the people who instantly allow your stress and burnout to ease simply by being with them.

5. Progressive Muscle Relaxation

This technique involves sitting or lying down and using your mind to focus upon tensing each muscle group of the body and allowing it to gradually relax. The mind/body connection is so powerful that you can convince your body that it is relaxing and the feelings of anxiety and burnout can reduce. You can find an abundance of these types of videos on youtube.

6. Sit still with your feelings to get ahead quicker

The vast amount of the population are using distraction to run away from their stress such as drinking alcohol, using drugs, gambling and watching porn. These are short distraction fixes that may release stress and burnout at the time but often leave the root cause of the stress unresolved.

If you can allow yourself to sit through the discomfort of stress, anxoiety, sadness, pain or whatever negative state you’re feeling without distractioning yourself, the pain you feel will eventually shift and allow calm and peace back into you.

Do these starting today and let me know how much your stress, anxiety or burnout is reduced because you chose YOU today.

My life coaching packages facilitate real change and fast. I work with many entrepreneurs and busy professionals who have lost connection to true relaxation having lived in survival mode for so long. Relaxing for them may feel alien or scary. We work together in person and online to encourage new behaviours in which you can start living your life for YOU instead of merely existing in a constant state of hypervigilance.
